What the FTC Proposed Rule Could Mean for Dealership Ads, F&I

KPA F&I Compliance Consultant and District Manager, Ryan Daly, spoke with John Huetter of Automotive News’ regarding the Federal Trade Commission’s recent announcement proposing a new rule targeting dealership sales.

The set of proposed rules will target how dealers sell vehicles to customers, targeting everything from junk F&I fees that offer the customer no real benefit, requiring an online list of optional add-ons and pricing, banning misleading ads, and more. Once the rule is published in the Federal Register, the FTC will take public comments for 60 days.
