How will you remember the 2010s? Judging by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration’s annual lists of the most common violations, many workplace safety professionals will think of the past ten years as the decade of falls.
OSHA just released its Top 10 violations for fiscal year 2019, and for the 9th year in a row, Fall Protection made the number 1 spot. In fact, other than Lockout/Tagout violations climbing ahead one spot (and bumping down Respiratory Protection violations), the list remains virtually unchanged from last year.
The Top 10 most cited OSHA standards were announced at the recent National Safety Council Congress and Expo in San Diego, and subsequently published in Safety+Health magazine.
