KPA EHS Launches Configurable Workflows to Tailor Safety Programs to Business Needs

Lafayette, Colo. – November 11, 2021 – Today, KPA released a new feature to the KPA EHS software platform to put more power and flexibility in the hands of businesses, supporting environment, health, and safety (EHS) compliance programs that incorporate existing processes. The enhancement provides configurable workflows to manage processes requiring approvals, collaboration, and input from multiple employees.

“Businesses shouldn’t have to change their processes to fit within the constraints of a one-size fits all software model,” commented Jade Brainard, Product Director. “The workflow engine brings added efficiency to any safety program by automating multi-step processes.”

Forget One Size Fits All, Configurable Workflows Meet Individual Safety Program Needs

Users will be able to use this new workflow capability to automate common EHS processes, including incident reporting, investigations, management of change, and OSHA recordable incidents. During each step, responsible party, deadlines, and actions are assigned and actions can incorporate notes, required signatures, attachments, or reassigning or stopping the workflow.

Additionally, notifications are configured to inform individuals or groups about a completed action or to request more information. The workflows include a time-stamped audit trail, or a transcript, so that everything is fully documented.

“With features like the workflow engine, KPA EHS software asserts its power and capabilities over spreadsheets and other paper-based systems when it comes to incident reporting, tracking, and easily accessing data to make well-informed decisions,” commented Brainard.

As a comprehensive workforce compliance software, KPA EHS software includes dynamic features that safety professionals need to manage and promote a safe and productive workplace. In addition to managing incidents, The software platform provides all of the necessary tools to identify reporting insights, conduct mobile-enabled inspections, and manage employee compliance training.

The combination of KPA’s comprehensive mobile software platform, online training, and on-site consulting services helps organizations build a culture of safety, reduce regulatory risk, and keep employees safe.
